America to give Harpoon anti-ship missile and torpedo to India

The US has approved the sale of anti-ship (anti-ship) missile harpoons and torpedoes to India. The Trump administration has informed the US parliament about this. The deal is worth $ 155 million (about Rs 11.8 billion).

It has 10 AGM-84L Harpoon missiles for $ 9.2 million and 16 Mk 54 ol-up round lightweight torpedoes and three Mk-54 exercise torpedoes for $ 6.3 million.

Enemy weapon systems will improve India's ability to meet current and future threats. Harpoon will be integrated into P-8I aircraft for surface-to-surface warfare in defense of critical sea lanes, increasing interoperability.

The Harpoon missiles will be manufactured by the Boeing Company, while the torpedoes will be supplied by Raytheon.
