Realme XT specifications, design, launch, cameras and more
“Realme XT will offer a 64MP primary sensor in a quad camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor, and mid-range Snapdragon processor”
Realme XT is among the most hotly anticipated smartphones in the market as it is in a race to become the first smartphone in the world with a 64MP primary rear camera. Of course, the Redmi Note 8 Pro will be launching in just a couple of days with a 64MP sensor, so the race is pretty tight. That aside, several details around the Realme XT have been teased officially in the past couple of weeks. We take a look at the information Realme has shared about the smartphone to give you a look at everything you can expect from the Realme XT when it launches.
Realme XT specifications, design, and features
Realme XT 64MP primary sensor
The 64MP primary sensor is, of course, the highlight of the Realme XT; the sensor will be encircled in an orange-coloured ring. The brand will be using the Samsung Bright GW1 sensor on the smartphone — this sensor combines four 16MP photos to combine a single 64MP image using pixel binning tech. ISOCELL Bright GW1 sensor also has 0.8-micron pixel size, the largest yet for a Samsung sensor. It also uses the ISOCELL Plus and Tetracell technologies for brighter lowlight images. Other features of the sensor include Dual Conversion Gain (DCG) for colour accuracy, PDAF and Super Phase Detection for quick autofocus, and full-HD video recording at 480fps.
Realme XT Quad rear cameras
Realme XT’s 64MP sensor will be backed by three other sensors, placed in vertical alignment. These sensors will be: a wide-angle lens, a depth sensor, and a macro lens. Next to the camera setup, towards the right, is a dual-tone LED flash. However, for more details about the individual sensors, including the resolution, we will have to wait for the for the launch.
Realme XT In-display fingerprint sensor and OLED screen:
Considering the official render shared by the brand does not show a fingerprint sensor on the back, we can assume Realme XT will have an in-display sensor. It is likely the brand will be using the optical biometric sensor since ultrasonic sensors are not seen in the affordable segment, which is the hunting ground for Realme. Of course, an in-display fingerprint sensor means the smartphone will feature an OLED screen.
Realme XT Qualcomm processor
Realme has announced it will be using a Qualcomm processor in the Realme XT, though it hasn’t yet revealed which chipset it will be employing. However, we can expect the handset to be powered by one of the mid-range Snapdragon SoCs considering the company’s target audience is the affordable segment, which doesn’t see the flagship-class Snapdragon 8xx series chipsets (except on the POCO F1).
Realme XT Gradient colour
The official render also shows the Realme XT smartphone will come in silver-white hue, which the brand’s China CMO Xu Qi Chase called Silver Wing White. We can see the colour will have a gradient look. However, there are likely to be more colour options, including solid hues.
